Paul Wesley, also known by his birth name Paul Wasilewski was born in 1982, in the much diversified city of Brunswick, New Jersey. Paul, although born in the United States spent a good portion of his childhood visiting family in Poland where his parents had immigrated from.
Poland is where Paul and his three sisters cultured their love for wintertime activities. A pastime Paul enjoyed in school at a young age was acting. Paul studied theater throughout high school. He got his first TV acting appearance in 1999 in the popular soap opera Another World. Paul quickly grew his acting career and soon landed a role in the CBS series Wolf Lake. Over many years Paul had many roles and won awards such as the Teen Choice award and the Northeast Film Festival award. Paul’s most famous role was Stefan Salvatore on the very prominent series The Vampire Diaries.
The Vampire Diaries expanded some of Paul’s knowledge of the film industry, and challenged his creativity. Paul directed several episodes of the Vampire Diaries, and went on to direct the movie Before I Disappear. In 2014 Paul played the role of Charlie in Amina and Sam an independent film about forbidden romance. Amina and Sam offered Paul a different direction and some change. Always expanding his carrier, Paul stared in a 2014 play in New York called Cal in Camo. Acting on stage in front of an audience added challenges to Paul’s expanding abilities. After the end of Vampire Diaries In March of 2017, Paul lined up many future projects including producing a TV series Confessions of a Drug Addicted School Teacher. A known Philanthropist, Paul has supported many charities by donating and raising awareness. He raised several thousand dollars for The Humane Society, and believes in the protection of animal rights. Paul lives his busy life in Atlanta Georgia giving the south United States another positive role model of hard work, diligence, and creativity in the film world.
